How to Get Rid of Frown Lines without Botox

So, this post is kind of random.  But I am so blown away by something I have been doing for a year that I wanted to share my little beauty secret — Frownies. First off, I just turned 40 – so my days in the sun as a swimmer and water polo player are catching up with me. I also have a natural propensity to narrow my eyes when I read or concentrate. All of these factors caused the lines between my eyebrows to become pretty deep. After seeing a photo of myself about a year ago, the deep lines really started to bother me and began to wonder more about Botox. But, truth be told, I’m pretty terrified of getting a toxin put in my body — not to mention the expense and upkeep. (I’m not saying I’ll never do it, but I have found a cheap and easy alternative for now).

Enter Frownies. (This is not a paid Ad by the way, I just really found it to work.) Frownies are little triangles of paper that you get wet and wear on your forehead when you sleep. Yes, it looks silly. Yes, my kids think I’m a weirdo. But, after nearly a year of wearing them nightly, I can truly say that my skin and the lines on my forehead are so much smaller and less noticeable. The basic premise behind it is that it relaxes the muscle in between your eyes (kind of like what Botox does) – and keeps you from frowning and activating that muscle. When you wear it while sleeping you are essentially keeping the muscle relaxed and keeping it from wrinkling. Over time, (at least in my case) – the wrinkles between my eyes have lessened, and look SO much better. Its become a part of my night routine — and I don’t even notice it when I sleep.  The before and after pictures speak for themselves — see below!
